Adrian FCCLA travels to Columbia

Members of the Adrian Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) took a trip to Columbia, MO, March 27-29, for the FCCLA State Meeting. They were chaperoned by their advisor, Mrs. Julie Carr and her husband, Mr. Robert Carr.

On Saturday members were up early enough to eat breakfast before heading over to the Conference Center for the daily events. At the Conference Center Saturday morning, the members that made it to the state level in STAR Events presented their projects to the judges. The members from our Chapter participating in STAR events were Savannah Allmon, Josie Lovejoy and Maddie Reynolds. Mrs. Carr served as a Lead Consultant to the Illustrated Talk category.

Sunday, another early day, started off with our Regional meeting. After that was the meeting announcing the awards of the STAR Events. Our participants received silver in the Focus on Children category. After that they went to a few more workshops and then attended the closing ceremony with the installation of the new state officers.
