Adrian Elementary Elves make a special delivery for the holidays

The Adrian Elementary 4th Grade teachers and their students orchestrated a food drive for the holidays. With donations from students in grades K-5, they collected 600 items to be donated to the Adrian Food Pantry. Last Tuesday the 4th grade made their way from the school to the Adrian Food Pantry with wagons filled with food. The Adrian Food Pantry is open the first and third Friday of each month. The next date for food pickup is January 6.

As a show of support for this civic endeavor and as an incentive to obtain as many items as possible for the pantry, the class with the highest number of donated items had the distinct pleasure of transforming Elementary Principal Brian Borgmeyer into Santa Claus. The entire elementary gathered in the gym for the transformation.
