Adrian Cub Scouts attend day camp

Fourteen Adrian Cub Scouts attended Cub Scout Day Camp June 13-17, 2011 in Clinton, MO at the Artesian Park. Throughout the week boys participated in various activities, including: archery, BB gun shooting sports, cooling off on the slip-n-slide, nature hikes and plant identification, swimming, an assortment of American Indian children’s games, classes in compass reading, knot tying, science experiments, making and launching paper rockets, flag etiquette, constructing wooden paddle boats and insect carriers, watching and learning magic tricks, outdoor cooking, fire building, field sports, leatherwork, screen printing and decorating personalized t-shirts.

Adults attending throughout the week include: George Turner, Tiger Cub Den Leader; Larry Stone, Wolf Den Leader; Ronnie Dennison, Bear Den Leader; Sarah Lybarger, Melinda Elmer and Dustin Amos.
