Adrian Community Chest supports local organization

The Adrian Community Chest Board met last Tuesday, July 20. They unanimously agreed to make a $500 contribution to the Adrian Community Library. Pictured is Alan Marr, President of the Adrian Community Chest, presenting a $500 check to Adrian Community Library Board Member Steve Hubbard. Alan said, “We are glad to be a service to the Adrian Community Library.”

The Library will put the Adrian Community Chest contribution into the Adrian Community Library Building Benefit Fund. “We are grateful for the donation from the Adrian Community Chest, and for the community support. It goes to show how Adrian always takes care of its community. We appreciate the support and generosity,” said Library Board Members Cindy Kendrick and Patti Bruto.

The Community Chest is seeking donors to support local civic groups and community organizations. With its 501(c)3 nonprofit status, the Community Chest is eligible to receive funds through the United Way of Greater Kansas City. You can designate your contribution to the Adrian Community Chest. On the United Way donor choice form, you can simply write in “Adrian Community Chest” in the space provided.
