The Adrian Chamber of Commerce’s featured business for April is the Old 71 Café, owned by Jim and Billie Osborne. The business, located at 200 South Old 71 Highway in Adrian, is situated in the old Hill’s Truck Line Building, south of the Commuter Parking Lot.
The Osbornes, along with their two sons and approximately 20-25 full and part time employees, work hard to serve customers good, homestyle meals. The menu offers a wide variety of foods, most made from scratch, with specials such as homestyle lasagna, as well as just about anything from burgers to steak and shrimp.
“We serve breakfast all day except Sundays and we serve all meals from breakfast to dinner,” Billie said. “The menu includes about anything you can think of and, once a month, we serve Mountain Oysters, which are very popular.”
Old 71 Café is still working on winter hours and is open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Saturday and from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sundays. The restaurant can accommodate small meetings or dinner parties but does not have a separate banquet room. For more information, call 816-297-2702.
