The Adrian Chamber of Commerce’s featured business for April is the Heartland Hospice Care, located at 612 West Fort Scott Street in Butler. The branch office, part of a national corporation, has been located in Butler for five years, this past January. They were formerly located on the Butler square but have been at the present location for about a year. The Butler office provides care for patients in five counties that include, Bates, Cass, Henry, St. Clair and Vernon.

“Every day, we strive to enrich the lives of the patients we care for,” said Taynia Kisner, Accounts Liaison. “We provide comforting and support care for our patients and their families through their life’s journey.” She said Heartland Hospice provides that special care through a staff of caring registered nurses, home health aides, a non-denominational chaplain, case workers and bereavement counselors. The hospice also provides help through dietitians, pharmacists, and therapists trained for physical, occupational and speech therapy. As well as the employed staff, there is a volunteer staff who also assist in various areas.

“If someone has questions, they can call, anytime of day or night,” Taynia said. “There is a nurse always on call.” Support for the patients and their families is offered 24 hours a day, seven days a week. “Anyone can call us for more information,” she added. “It doesn’t have to come through a physician.” To contact Heartland Hospice Care, call 660-679-4300.

“We thank the Adrian Chamber of Commerce for the recognition and the flowers,” Taynia added.
