Last year, Adrian Bank employees raised money to help families at Christmas time. Employees paid to dress down on Fridays with all proceeds going into the bank’s Elf Fund. The bank also purchased t-shirts which customers bought for $5.00 each, knowing that the money would help local families. Even with a late start in early October, Adrian Bank raised $3,000 to benefit 11 children and their families.
After the success of last year’s holiday efforts, Adrian Bank committed to raising more than ever to help those in need. Once again their “Jeans Days” and t-shirt sales were a huge success, thanks in part to the customers and employees who made donations above and beyond the designated amounts. With the generosity of the community, Adrian Bank employees and bank management, almost $7,000 was raised for this year’s Elf Fund.
The Elf Fund allowed for purchases of warm clothing and other necessities as well as toys and games for 16 kids and their families. Bank employees wrapped each gift for them to open on Christmas day. Each family also received a full Christmas dinner with all the trimmings.
