Adrian Bank donates to the Tornado Victims Fund

Adrian Bank CEO Gene Irvin is shown presenting a check on behalf of Adrian Bank to Alden Buerge, CEO of First State Bank of Joplin in the amount $5,000 to be applied to the First State Bank Tornado Victims Fund. Mr. Buerge goes on to say that they are distributing the funds from this account to people in the Joplin community that need financial help. They are currently giving a maximum of $300.00 per family so that they can buy whatever they immediately need. Most importantly, Mr. Buerge states that 100% of these contributions will be given directly to the victims in the Joplin disaster area.
Adrian Bank’s donation was a combination of the Bank’s Elf Fund and a general contribution from the directors, officers, and employees of Adrian Bank. The Elf Fund is funded from monies received from our valued customers when they receive a complimentary Adrian Bank t-shirt, hat, or sweatshirt from the bank. In addition, bank employees donate $5.00 per week into the fund; which allows the employee to have a “jeans” Friday each week.
If anyone else chooses to make a donation to this fund, the donation can be made payable to: First State Bank Tornado Victims Fund, PO Box 1373, Joplin, MO 64802.
