Adrian Alumni Reunite

The 64th annual Adrian High School Alumni meeting was held Saturday, May 8, 2010 in the east gym at Adrian High School. President Matt Kendrick (pictured right), Class of 1993, called the meeting to order. Paul Burhart, Class of 1977, opened with the invocation.

This year we had our first annual volleyball tournament which was reported by Hannah Stephens Newkirk, Class of 2002 and the 11th annual alumni golf tournament reported by Gerold Stephens, Class of 2004. Everyone had a great time and everyone was looking forward to again next year.

Next on the agenda was a little blast from the past with the ACC Band (middle picture) playing and singing a medley of songs from graduating reunion years. The group consisted of Paul and Dawn Burhart, Hannah Stephens Newkirk, Ray Burhart, Gerold Stephens, John Petty, Shannon Bohannan, and Nathan Dingman. The gym came alive with graduates enjoying the music.

2010 Class Sponsor, Joe Abrams, then introduced the 2010 graduating class to the Adrian Alumni. A motion was made and seconded to accept the 2010 seniors to the Adrian Alumni Association. Bekah Ward, Class President of 2010, entertained the alumni with her thank you speech for accepting the 2010 seniors to the alumni association.

To close the meeting, 2011 President Eve Clark, Class of 1996, thanked everyone for coming and welcomed everyone back next year. Also, to plan on participating in the annual golf and volleyball tournaments.

Following the closing of the meeting, everyone was invited to the commons area for a delicious buffet prepared by Sharon Cumpton and the ladies for Relay For Life. Paul Moudy once again entertained everyone with his great music.
