9-11 Memorial Service in Adrian
The Adrian Volunteer Fire Department will hold its fifth annual 9-11 Memorial Observance on Tuesday, September 11, 2007 and it is hoped the community will take part in the service. All activities begin at 7 p.m. with a procession of emergency vehicles from many agencies in surrounding communities. A flyover by the Life Flight Air Ambulance helicopter is also scheduled during the procession time.
The procession of fire trucks, ambulances, police and sheriff’s department patrol vehicles and other emergency vehicles will begin at 7 p.m. from the Missouri Highway 18 and Old 71 Highway intersection. The route then goes north on Old 71 Highway to Eighth Street, where it turns west. From Eighth Street, the route goes to Lexington and Virginia and to the Fire Station. The Life Flight helicopter will land at the park across from the fire station and will remain there for public viewing after the memorial service is completed.
