Youth wrestlers place at State

The State Wrestling Meet in Columbia, MO was the happening place last weekend for eight Adrian youth wrestler and their families. Qualifying for State were: Cole Ritter, Trevor Thompson, Braden Dame, Zachary Shannon, Caleb Shanks, Jacob Shipley, John Collins and Austin Ward.

In his fifth trip to the State Championships, Caleb Shanks placed 4th Overall in the 12 and Under Division/100 lb weight class. In addition to placing at State, Caleb has been selected to participate with an all-star team of elementary school wrestlers from the State of Missouri. First time State qualifier Zachary Shannon placed 5th Overall in the 12 and Under Division/95 lb. weight class.

Zach is the son of Matt Shannon and Christian Shannon, and Caleb is the son of Chris and Rebecca Shanks.
