Volleyball action for the Lady Blackhawks

By MEGAN LEWIS

Another week has passed, and with it another batch of volleyball games. On Monday, Adrian played host to Sherwood. Although sadly, the junior varsity did not come out on top, the varsity wrapped up the night with another win for the record, beating the Lady Marksmen in a fairly quick two games.

On Tuesday, Adrian played host yet again, this time to Butler. While again the JV lost, the girls agreed that this match was a learning experience. The varsity Lady Blackhawks then beat the Lady Bears in two games.

Thursday brought the team to Ballard for another taste of victory, this time for both the junior varsity and the varsity teams.

Saturday morning brought the girls to Archie for a junior varsity tournament. Unfortunately, as they split with Midway and lost to both KC Metro and Pleasant Hill, no wins were attained.

Coach Carver (along with her team) continues to be optimistic about this season’s prospects. “We’ve been doing really good. It’s a great start to the season and I look for us to continue to get better.”
