Two wins, one loss for Lady Blackhawks

The Adrian Lady Blackhawks hosted the Drexel Lady Bobcats on Tuesday, February 15 and defeated them 49 to 36. Coach Dingman said, “We came out firing on all cylinders. The girls played great defense and shot the ball pretty well. It was a good way to continue conference play.”
On Thursday night the Lady Blackhawks traveled to Montrose to take on the undefeated Montrose Lady BlueJays. Adrian had their hands full and were defeated 78 to 57. “Well we actually had spurts in this game where we played well,” commented Coach Dingman. “LeeAnna hit 6 3’s and that helped us keep somewhat in the game. Montrose is good and we just could not keep up in the first quarter. Other than that I think we gave them a good game. It is hard to travel on the road to a team that hasn’t lost in more than a calendar year (50 some in a row). I think my girls learned a lot and will be ready to finish up conference play and head in to districts after a game like this.”
Courtwarming 2011 was held Friday night as the Lady Blackhawks hosted the Rich Hill Lady Tigers. Adrian easily scored a 53 to 29 victory as they now hold a 3-0 conference record and a 14-5 overall record. “We played great D in this game” commented Coach Dingman. “Offensively we moved the ball as well as we have all year. The girls worked hard and got another conference win.”
