The Adrian Blackhawks hosted the Osceola Indians last Friday night. The girls game was first and it was sure to be a good one. The Blackhawks were 10-1 coming into this game and their only loss on the year was to Osceola. The game went back and forth with many lead changes. In the end Adrian could not hold on and Osceola won 48-44. This was a game for the ages. Adrian moved to 10-2 on the year with both losses coming from the Indians. Coach Nathan Dingman commented, “We gave them all we could. Came down to the fourth quarter and Osceola pulled it out. We played good, we just need to start shooting the ball a little better.”
The boys game was not nearly as exciting. Adrian came out and was a step ahead of Osceola at every turn. A lot of young guys got to see action in this one, as Adrian went on to win 63-28. Adrian’s defense was tremendous in this game. This win pushes Adrian’s record to 10 wins and 2 losses this year. Coach James Wheeler commented, “It’s good to start the conference season out with a win. I’m really proud of our team. They are really buying in to what we are trying to do. They work very hard in practice.”
