Three Blackhawks qualify at district track meet

On Saturday, May 3rd, the Blackhawks boys track team traveled to Cass Midway to participate in the District track meet. The top four places move on to sectionals next Saturday. The boys placed ninth out of 15 teams with 35 1/2 points. Russell Hahs, Wyatt Jackson and Matthew Dickerson will be advancing to sectionals. Coach Cochran said, “We did as well as I could expect today. We are still injured in a few areas. I think our younger guys got discouraged, but they have to remember they are running against seniors. Give them a couple of years, and it will be their turn. They just have to stay with it and work hard. Russell, Wyatt and Matthew will go to sectionals this Saturday. Hopefully, they can advance to state. I am proud of all the guys this year as they have worked hard and improved. That is really all I can ask.”
