Rough last game of Midway Tourney for Blackhawks

By HENRY WENDELTON
The Adrian boys concluded their Midway Tournament action on Saturday against the Barstow Knights, fighting for first place. The game started out close with both teams playing well. Adrian made a run late in the game, getting within two, but they just could not pull off a victory. Barstow won, 65-61.
This loss pushes the Blackhawks record to 18 wins and 3 losses on the year. Adrian Coach James Wheeler commented, “We had trouble overcoming a bad 2nd quarter. Credit to our team, we never quit. We battled back but could not climb the mountain. We struggled shooting the ball and were still in a position to win in the end. Now we are back to our quest to win a conference title.”
