The boys game was sure to be another close game as always. Adrian and Archie both came out ready to play with the lead going back and forth all through the first quarter. Archie made a mad run in the fourth quarter and went ahead late in the game. It looked like curtains for Adrian, down two with little time left on the clock. Keenan Morrow came down and hit a huge three pointer to put Adrian ahead by one. Archie took a last second shot and missed. Adrian went on to win 68-67. This win pushes the Blackhawks record to a tremendous 14 wins and 2 losses. Adrian Coach James Wheeler commented, “Keenan Morrow hit a big shot at the end of this game. Erik White really had a nice night, as well as Austin Erickson. Credit to Archie, they are a tough squad. It’s always a battle.”
This win drops Archie’s record to 10 wins and 6 losses on the year. Archie Coach Troy Schultie said, “Another good game against Adrian. We gave a great effort, but came up short at the end for the second time in four days against them. I felt we were not very good defensively tonight and Adrian took advantage of us. We were able to make enough shots to stay in the game, but came up short.”
