ROUND ONE
The Adrian Lady Blackhawks kicked off their district tournament action against the Appleton City Bulldogs. Adrian came out and right from the start took control of this one. By the end of the first quarter Adrian was up 16-5. The Blackhawks went on to win round one of districts by a score of 63-34. This pushes the Blackhawks record to 24 wins and 2 losses on the year.
Adrian Coach Nathan Dingman commented, “We shot well. Good game when you shoot 6/13 from 3 point land.”

The game started very slow with neither team scoring a lot of points, by the end of the first quarter though Adrian had the lead, 12-4. Adrian went on to win, 53-39. DISTRICTS
Both Adrian teams played their way to the championship game again for the fourth time this year. The girls game was first with Adrian taking on the Osceola Indians. All three of Adrian’s losses had been to Osceola and they were hoping to change that. Osceola was the number 1 seed and Adrian was the number 2.
This game did not start out how the Blackhawks wanted it to and Adrian was quickly behind, 16-4. Osceola came out after half and just couldn’t miss. Adrian tried everything but just couldn’t stop the hot Osceola team. Osceola went on to win 64-34. This loss ended the Blackhawks season with a record of 25 wins and 3 losses. This is the best record that any Adrian girls team has ever had.
Coach Nathan Dingman commented, “Tough way to end the year. Girls just came out flat and we had no response on defense. Great year to be a part of.”
