Lady Blackhawks host tournament

The Adrian Lady Blackhawks hosted a softball tournament Saturday, April 5. The tournament was played as a Round Robin.

In the first round of play Adrian defeated the Ballard Lady Bulldogs 15-0. Jennifer Underwood pitched 3 innings, walking 2 and striking out 9. McKenzie Adams came in and pitched 1 inning, walking 1 and striking out 3. The Lady Blackhawks had 5 stolen bases and 9 hits. Jennifer Underwood went 2/3 with 1 home run and 1 double and had 3 RBIs.

In the second game Adrian was defeated by Holden 3 to 1. Underwood pitched 7 innings with no walks and 4 strikeouts. The Lady Blackhawks had 8 hits but committed 4 errors. Rebecca Lawrence went 2/4 with 2 singles and Rachel McKenzie went 2/3 with 2 singles.

In their final game of the day Adrian fell to Archie 6 to 3. Underwood pitched 7 innings with 1 walk and 6 strike outs. Underwood and Lawrence both went 2/3 at bat.
