Lady Blackhawks fall to El Dorado Springs; Win first round of District play

The Adrian Blackhawks varsity volleyball traveled to El Dorado Springs for their last regular season game. The Lady Blackhawks were defeated 18-25 in the first game and 19-25 in the second. Coach Robards commented, “The girls played well tonight. We were without Kaitlyn Miller which made a big impact on our offense, but several girls stepped up to fill spots for us. El Dorado is a very strong team and we played with them to the very end.”

On Monday, October 22 the Lady Blackhawks began district play at Sherwood. Adrian went up against the hosting Lady Marksmen and proved that they were not ready for their season to end as they took the win in three games, 18-25, 25-17, 25-18. They faced the Holden Lady Eagles in round 2. “The girls came out ready to play” commented Coach Robards. “Sherwood is a tough team and I was very pleased with how the girls performed. We were fortunate to have Kaitlyn and Brittany Williams return. We will take on Holden in Round 2 and the girls are as ready as they can be.”
