Lady Blackhawks fall to El Dorado

The Adrian Lady Blackhawks volleyball team hosted the El Dorado Springs Lady Bulldogs in the last game of their regular season last Tuesday night, October 18. In three very exciting games, Adrian finally fell to their opponent, 22-25, 25-22, 32-30. Their overall match record stands at 16-11-1. Coach Robards said, “We played a great match tonight. When we were behind we never gave up and when we were ahead we never let up. Even though we didn’t get the win I am very proud of the girls.”

On Monday night the Lady Blackhawks traveled to El Dorado Springs for district play. In the first round Adrian went up against the Lamar Lady Tigers. They won the match in two games, 25-20, 25-21. “We played pretty good” commented Coach Robards, “The tempo of the match was pretty slow which caused us to be caught standing a few times. I’m very happy that we are advancing to the next round and we look forward to a rematch with El Dorado.”
