Five Blackhawks qualify for state track meet

The sectional track meet was held Saturday, May 15 at Richmond High School. Twelve members of the Adrian boys track team participated and nine members of the girls team. The top four in each event qualified for state. Adrian has three boys, Keenan Morrow, high jump; Erik White, long jump; and Cody Hannah, discus and two girls, Olivia Case, long jump and Skyler Wooldridge, pole vault, who qualified for state.

Coach Cochran said, “Most of the kids performed fairly well today. It was a terrible day for a track meet, wet and cold. It was terrible for everybody though, not just us. We’re sending 3 guys to state in Keenan, Erik and Cody. I appreciate all the hard work all the athletes have put in this year. They have had a successful year. We go to the state meet Friday and Saturday. We’re hoping for good things there. If you can, come out and support the kids at the state meet.”
