Blackhawks win first round in Midway Tournament

The Adrian Blackhawks’ varsity boys team opened the Midway Tournament on Monday night against the Crest Ridge Cougars. The Blackhawks, with an overall record of 7-6, were seeded 4th and the Cougars were the 5th seed. Adrian, led by Eric Moles’ game high 32 points, played a solid game of basketball and won the contest 72-69. Coach Basore said, “The kids played hard and never quit when we were down.”
