Blackhawks win against Mules

By HENRY WENDLETON
Last Friday night Adrian was on the road again to Lone Jack to take on the Mules. The Mules just wouldn’t go away and took the lead with a minute left in the game. Adrian refused to lose and came back to win 43-42. This win pushes the girls’ record to 8 wins and 1 loss on the year. Coach Nathan Dingman commented, “Good physical game. We played hard, got up by 10 or so in the 4th quarter, and Lone Jack battled back. Another close one for the books.”
The boys game started out very action-packed. The score went back and forth in the first quarter, but Adrian was leading 13-10 at the end of one. Adrian played a good second half and won big with a final score of 70-46. This win pushes the boys’ record to 7 wins and 2 losses on the year. Coach James Wheeler said, “This was our best game we have had defensively. We forced a lot of turnovers and did a good job controlling the pace.”
