Blackhawks win 1, lose 2; Open Archie tournament with a loss

The Adrian Blackhawks had a three game week last week and had 2 losses and 1 win. Tuesday, January 15 the Blackhawks hosted Lakeland Vikings and were defeated 69 to 38. Thursday night, January 17, Adrian traveled to Lone Jack and came home with a 51 to 35 victory over the Mules. Coach Basore commented, “The boys ran good offense and got great looks and made shots.” Friday night Adrian hosted the Osceola Indians in conference action. The Blackhawks had a dismal night and were defeated 68 to 25. Coach Basore said, “We didn’t come out ready to play.” On Monday night, January 21 the Blackhawks opened the Archie Tournament against the Barstow Knights. Adrian was defeated 57 to 29. Coach Basore commented, “The boys played hard, we just didn’t finish shots at the rim to score.”
