Blackhawks tame Mustangs

In non-conference action on January 9, the Adrian Blackhawks hosted the Heartland Mustangs. Adrian opened up the contest and quickly held a 17-12 lead by the end of the first quarter. Seventeen was again the number for points scored as the Blackhawks went into the locker room at half-time holding a 34-20 advantage.The scoring remained close in the third quarter with Adrian holding the edge 16-14 and also the lead at 50-34. The Blackhawks continued to dominate the Mustangs in the final eight minutes. They scored 19 points while allowing their opponent to 12. The Blackhawks won the contest 69-46.
