Athletes honored during reception

The Adrian Blackhawks 2011 Winter Athletic Reception was held Monday night, March 14. Members of the boys and girls basketball teams, the wrestling squad and cheerleaders were recognized and honored.

First to be recognized were the boys basketball team. Coach Tyson Basore introduced the members of the junior varsity and varsity squads. He praised each squad for their accomplishments during the season. Cheer coaches Connie Reynolds and Sherri Hough recognized the cheerleading squad. They thanked them for all their hard work during the season. Wrestling Coach Ryan Campbell then introduced members of the wrestling squad.

The girls basketball team was then recognized by Coach Nathan Dingman. He stated that the 2011 team had a goal this year of becoming WEMO Conference Champs, something that had not been accomplished since 1981. They achieved this goal by going 7 and 0 in conference play. Coach Dingman then recognized the members of the 1981 team that were in attendance.
