Adrian man wins World Championship Paint Horse title

Local American Paint Horse amateur competitor Trent James of Adrian, Missouri, captured a world championship title recently at the 2009 Fall World Championship Paint Horse Show. The show, which was held November 5 - 14 in Fort Worth, Texas, is one of the American Paint Horse Association’s (APHA’s) premier events.

James claimed the championship in Novice Amateur Barrel Racing showing LRR Jetty Bars, an 11-year-old gelding owned by the rider. In the class, competitors are timed as they complete a cloverleaf pattern around three barrels.
