The Adrian Blackhawks girls and boys track teams traveled to Archie Monday, March 31. Both teams brought home 1st place finishes.
Girls Coach Basore commented, “We ran well on the track and also had some girls earn more points in the field events. Good team effort to win the meet. We had the opportunity to see the areas that we need to improve on and hopefully we can take care of those issues over the next couple of days so we are ready for our meet at Adrian.”

Thursday, April 3, Adrian hosted 14 teams. Again, both the boys and girls placed 1st.
Coach Basore said, “The girls ran great last night and we had a lot of personal bests on the season. Their hard work is showing in each meet. We also had some girls who haven’t been scoring points in meets earn a top 8 finish which gives us a boost in overall team points.”

Right: Austin Corley came in 1st in the 110m hurdles at Adrian with a time of 15.53.

Middle: Lauren Shipley took 1st in the high jump at Adrian with a height of 4’10”.

Far right: Adam Cochran runs his leg of the 4x800m relay at the Archie Invitational March 31. The relay team took 3rd.
