Last Tuesday the Adrian basketball teams traveled to Lakeland to take on the Vikings. The girls game was first. The Lady Blackhawks came out ready to play, and Adrian won, 56-45. This win pushes Adrian’s record to 9 wins and 1 loss. Coach Nathan Dingman commented, “We played well, had a good run going in at the half. We managed to keep momentum in the second half and finished the game ahead. It was a good win.”
The boys game started off with everything going the Blackhawks way. The offense started slow but the defense was tremendous. The defense continued to play strong and the Blackhawks went on to win, 67-32. This win pushes the Blackhawks record to 8 wins and 2 losses. Coach James Wheeler commented, “I’m really pleased with our defensive effort. They are taking a lot of pride in playing good defense, which translates to good offense.”
