Adrian baseball wins two

The Adrian Blackhawks baseball team traveled to Drexel on April 6 and defeated the Bobcats 17 to 4 in five innings. Adrian had an explosive first inning as they scored 12 runs. They scored 2 in the second 3 in the fourth. Luke Hough was the winning pitcher. He pitched 4 innings, striking out 2. Coach Dingman said, “A good start by the boys. We came out hot and ready to hit.”

On Thursday, April 8 the team traveled to Miami. With a total of 10 hits, the Blackhawks defeated the Eagles 12 to 2. Shaylon Moreland went the distance, pitching 7 innings, striking out 14 batters. “The boys came out hot early, then couldn’t get the bat on the ball in the middle innings. It was a great pitching performance from Shaylon Moreland” said Coach Dingman.
