The Adrian Blackhawks Wrestling team participated in the Steve Leslie Tour-nament in Pleasant Hill December 5th & 6th. Teams participating were Adrian, Boonville, Carl Junction, Clinton, Grandview, Lee’s Summit West, Liberty North, Nevada, Owensville, Pleasant Hill (V&JV), Prairie View, Ruskin, Shawnee Mission Northwest, and Smithville. Thirteen Blackhawks placed.
The Blackhawks took on Lafayette County (Higginsville) and Lathrop December 9. Lafayette County 45, Adrian 34; Lathrop 48 - Adrian 33
The Adrian Blackhawks boys and girls varsity teams participated in the WEMO Conference Tournament last week. The girls were given the #1 seed and the boys were seeded 4th.
The Blackhawks played for third place on Friday night. They went up against the #2 seed, Rich Hill Tigers and were defeated 35 to 47. The Lady Blackhawks went up against the Drexel Lady Bobcats for the championship. It was close throughout the entire game, but Adrian fell short in the end, by three, 52 to 55.

On December 2, the Adrian Blackhawks opened their season with a quad meet, facing off against the Knob Noster Panthers, El Dorado Springs Bulldogs and the Eldon Mustangs. Team results: Adrian 36 vs. Knob Noster: 30; Adrian 62 vs. El Dorado Springs 18; Adrian 36 vs. Eldon 46.

The Adrian Junior High boys basketball team took first place at the Butler tournament on Saturday, December 6, 2014. In the championship round, the Blackhawks took on the Butler Bears in a match-up that ended in victory, 46-31.

The Adrian Blackhawks varsity basketball teams opened their season Monday, November 24 as they traveled to Sherwood to take on the Marksmen.
In non conference action the Lady Blackhawks came away with a 58 to 49 victory over the Lady Marksmen. Coach Basore commented, “A very frustrating first game, but the girls were able to pull through with a victory”.
In the varsity boys game it was a hard fought battle but the Blackhawks held on for a two point victory, 77 to 75. Coach Basore said, “The boys played hard and worked for good shots.”
