Horseshoe Pitching Contest winners

In the 4th of July Horseshoe Pitching Contest, Jay Perkins and Ryan Parrott took first place. Coming in second was Matt Cunningham and David Lawson. Perkins participated in the contest in memory of his father-in-law Richard Nichol, who passed away last week and loved to pitch horseshoes. Volleyball summer league tournament champions

During the month of June, the Adrian High School volleyball team participated in a summer league held at Cass-Midway High School. Last Thursday was the final night of league where 4 JV teams and 7 varsity teams competed in a double elimination tournament. Both the JV and varsity teams ended the night undefeated and were crowned the league tournament champions.

Lions Fishing Day

The Adrian Lions Club held their annual Fishing Day last Saturday, June 21 at Harley Martens’ pond. Kids, along with their parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, enjoyed a day of fishing. The Lions provided hot dogs, chips and drinks for all those fishing.
