Blackhawks score 46-0 Homecoming victory

Homecoming week for the Adrian Blackhawks featured perfect weather, practices and on-field performances as the Blackhawks thumped the Appleton City Bulldogs 46-0 in front of loud fans and alumni at the Adrian Athletic Complex last Friday.

Adrian JH defeats Bulldogs 46 to 24

The Adrian Jr. High football team traveled to Appleton City on Monday, September 29 and defeated the Bulldogs 46 to 24 in the Blackhawks first 8-Man football game of the season.

Their next game will be at Adrian on Monday, October 6 vs Osceola at 5:30 pm.

JV Lady Blackhawks place second

The Adrian Blackhawks hosted a junior varsity volleyball tournament on Saturday, September 27. Adrian’s JV Lady Blackhawks took second after being defeated by Midway in the championship game. Coach Johnson stated, “The girls played well on Saturday and I’m very proud of how much they have improved this season. We faced and beat Osceola, which is the best team we have seen so far this season; then in the Championship game we just made too many basic mistakes against Midway.”

Lady Blackhawks defeat Warsaw and Appleton City

The Adrian Lady Blackhawks traveled to Warsaw last Tuesday, September 23 and brought home a win. Adrian won the match in two games, 25-7, 25-12.

Thursday night the Lady Blackhawks hosted the Appleton City Lady Bulldogs and celebrated Senior Night with a victory over Appleton City. It only took two games for the victory, 25-7, 25-14.

Jr. High volleyball takes first

The Adrian Junior High volleyball team took first place in the Rich Hill Junior High Tournament last Saturday, September 20, 2014. Appleton City, two wins; Osceola, two wins; Clinton (championship round), two wins to claim first place.
