To undergo surgery

Melvin Smith enjoying his usual free cookie and coffee at the Adrian Bank with the assistance of Gene Irvin.  This will be his last cookie for a while as he goes on a liquid diet tomorrow (Wednesday) preparing for Esophageal Surgery at KU later this week.  Since he won’t be doing his e-mail for sometime daughter Pam has set-up and will maintain a web site at  http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/melsmith where you can check on his progress and leave him a message if you want.
