New pastor for Adrian United Methodist Church

“I was first called into the ministry when I was 13 years old. It was during a youth event in Fayetteville Arkansas. “It was the first time I had experienced a pastor other than my own. When I was 19, I answered the call to become a minister. I then started the process for seminary and service through holy communion.”
Chris Snyder is the new pastor at the Adrian United Methodist Church. He, his wife, Sara and their two sons, Garrett, 4, and Stephen, 2, arrived in Adrian July 1 to begin serving at the church. He last served at a Methodist church in Mt. Vernon, MO. He has been in the ministry for seven years and studied for the ministry service at a United Methodist College, the Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary, on the Evanston Campus of Northwest University, just north of Chicago, IL.
Chris said even though he and his family have not been in Adrian all that long, they have really enjoyed their time here and in getting acquainted with everyone. “We welcome this new opportunity here,” Chris said. “We’ve felt a sense of welcome and inclusion. We’re looking forward to putting down roots, to be a part of this community for a long time, for as long as the Lord desires.”
