Dance Craze dancers compete at Regionals

The Dance Out Regionals Competition took place in Excelsior Springs, MO last weekend.  Eighteen Dance Craze dancers (the Power Starz) from Adrian, Archie and Drexel competed in the petite, junior and senior divisions. 

The Ice Boyz (Brantley Dennison, Jayke Welcher, Drew Burris are pictured far right) wowed the crowd and the Dance Craze fan club with their first competition ever, winning a Platinum award (the highest given) and 1st overall High Points in the Petite Divison.  Candle on the Water was a gorgeous lyrical routine performed by Madison Markel, Olivia Smith and Haley Kurian.  They scored a High First and 3rd overall for Petite Duos/Trios.

Eleven dancers competed in five Junior Small Group routines. Aye Carumba won a Platinum Award and 3rd Place Overall High Points.  Dancers are:  Maddie Moore, Marissa Markel, Jaylee Welcher, Sheldon Tallman, Bailey McMillan, Caitlin Kimminau, Taryn Gregg.  “Shake a Tail Feather,” executed by Brianna Greene, Taylor Edmiston, Payton Ritter and Ashlee Burris, won a High First Place Award and achieved 4th Overall High Points.  All 11 dancers joined together to compete with their routine to “Enter Sandman”. This unique performance won a Platinum Award and 3rd Place Overall High Points for Junior Small Groups.
 
In the Large Groups category, the Power Starz production routine to Captain’s Crew earned High First and 4th overall.  The Power Starz are pictured (right).
