Cross Country travelers make a stop in Adrian

Ben and Alice Pace of Dayton, OH, spent an afternoon and evening in Adrian on Sunday. They began their journey in San Diego on a tandem bike pulling a small trailer. They will finish the cross country trip when they put their front tire in the Atlantic Ocean in Virginia. They traveled across Kansas, ending up on 18 Highway which goes through Adrian and stopped at Wimfield’s on Main. Several visited with them there and I invited them to some air conditioning and rest at my home. They were just tired and hot enough to take the offer. They were impressed at the many offerings of the community. One amazing thing is that they have never been in rain so far. There have been lots of Midwest threatening weather that did not materialize. They left early Monday morning for Clinton to join the Katy Train to St. Louis and on east.
