Adrian Manor Health & Rehabilitation Center appreciates everyone for their ongoing support this past year as we look forward to a very exciting New Year in 2010. Interested parties may want to periodically check out our website for updates (coming in January) on our virtual tour page and various news items such as the recent acquisition of the 12-bed Residential Care Facility Crystal Manor. Our website address is www.adrianmanor.com.
On the day of the Resident Christmas Party a local lady stopped by Adrian Manor to drop off a box of gifts for the residents. The box contained an assortment of meticulously and beautifully hand-crocheted bar-soap holders. They were complete with the bar of soap and a real carnation on every one of them! Another lady from the surrounding community donated a huge framed mirror that now hangs on the wall in our ‘common area’. A big thank you is in order to both ladies.
As many of you know we recently purchased some new furniture and two 52-inch flat-screen plasma television sets. One of the TV’s is set up in our “Day Room” and is equipped with a Wii player (also donated). More than just a video game, some of the more innovative facilities nationwide are utilizing the Wii phenomenon as an OT (occupation therapy) and range of motion tool. These purchases were made possible entirely through the use of donations.
I am not sure that words can describe how truly wonderful that is and simply saying thank you almost seems inadequate. The staff and residents at Adrian Manor graciously say thank you to everyone who has made this possible through their donations (either on behalf of themselves or their loved ones) and to the aforementioned mystery givers who (unless I am notified otherwise) will remain in anonymity.
The last item I wanted to convey in this writing is simple yet sincere: On behalf of myself and the staff and residents at Adrian Manor, we hope everyone had a Very Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year!
