Miss Mary Lee Stark, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Willie Stark of Adrian, became the bride of Patrick Oates, the son of Mrs. Stella Oates of Adrian, in a ceremony held at the parsonage of the First Baptist Church in Independence, Missouri on December 3, 1949.
