Cumptons to celebrate 50th wedding anniversary

Adrian United Methodist Church W.O.W’s during Vacation Bible School



Fireworks filled the night skies of Adrian last Sunday evening as the Adrian United Methodist Church kicked off their VBS week at the Frontier Village. Over 100 families turned out to join in the celebration which included a pot-luck dinner, free train rides, face painting, balloon art, homemade snow cones and root beer floats, a concert by Stephen Rew and the band Decided and, of course, fireworks.

Quilt winner


Ruby Lockard, Adrian, was the recipient of the quilt donated to the Adrian Community Library, by Betty Pruden, for their annual fundraiser. Ms. Pruden’s wishes were for the funds received to be applied to the building fund. The Library appreciates everyone who supported this fundraiser.


Lions officers recognized


The Adrian Lions Club presented plaques to Kay DePriest (right), Secretary and Kyla Pierce (far right), Treasurer, in appreciation and recognition of their outstanding club leadership and dedicated service.

Hendrick - Jackson united in marriage


On May 31, 2014, Kaitlin Kristine Hendrick, daughter of Jim Hendrick, became the bride of Wyatt Wesley Jackson, son of Dale and Monett Jackson, in a double ring ceremony at the First Baptist Church, Adrian, MO. The ceremony was officiated by Rev. Aden Lovelace, a longtime friend.

After a honeymoon on the lake near Emo, Ontario, Canada, the happy couple are at home in Adrian, MO.
