The local VFW awarded three Adrian students cash prizes for their essays. First place: Spencer Kimberlin, $100; second place: Alex Tindle, $50; third place: Christian Graham. Their essays will be entered into the national contest. At the national level, the top 43 winners will receive at least a $1,000 U.S. Savings Bond.
