Two Adrian FFA contest teams advance to State Competition

Contest teams from the Adrian FFA chapter attended their final District contest held at the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg on Tuesday, March 30.

All competing members represented Adrian very well at Warrensburg in hopes of moving on toward the State contest. Of the six teams participating in the District contest from Adrian, two of them, the horse judging team and agriculture mechanics team, scored well enough to attend state competition on April 15th and 16th in Columbia. The horse judging team, composed of Colt Cumpton, Megan Miller, Alyssa Smotherman and Destiny Kirk, placed 7th at Districts. The agriculture mechanics team, including students Phillip Gregg, Paul McCulley, Wyatt Cumpton, and Rebecca Keating, placed 8th.

The Adrian chapter is exceptionally proud of both teams and wishes them the best of luck during the Missouri State competition.
