Summertime gratification for an Adrian student

Now that the summer break is officially over, I’ve had the chance to reflect on my summer’s experiences. I am pleased and mostly satisfied with how I spent my summer, but I am especially gratified by my time spent at the American Legion Missouri Boys State Program.

You might summarize the Boys State Program as an 8-day, state-level government course in which you learn by building and simulating your own government, but it is much more than that. Missouri Boys State is an outstanding program. I am extremely pleased to have been given the opportunity to attend. In all, there were four students from Adrian High School who were sponsored by local businesses and organizations to attend the Boys/Girls State Programs.
