R-3 students observe drivers

Wednesday June 10, the Adrian R-3, Drivers Education students took their studies outside to observe real world situations in driving a vehicle. The students and Mr. Abrams, their teacher, went to the intersection at Old 71 Highway and Missouri 18 Highway, to observe when, if and how drivers proceeded through the intersection and if the rules of proper right of way were obeyed.
The students took notes and discussed what they saw, if for example, when more than one car approached the intersection at the same time, did the one on the right proceed first, did someone, out of politeness wave another to proceed first and so on.
