Peace, Love & PTO

The PTO would also like to thank the community for your continued support and generosity throughout the year. Your donations and contributions are greatly appreciated and put to good use. Here are a few of the things the PTO has done this year with the money we have received:
~Paid for the 6th graders to go to a Royals game;
~Sponsored a field trip to the National Frontier Trails Center and Museum for the entire 4th grade;
~Paid for nearly $6,000 in classroom curriculum and supplies;
~ For Christmas, all staff and faculty received Blackhawks t-shirts;
~Provided cookies and punch for kindergarten graduation;
~Hosted a catered luncheon for the entire Adrian staff and faculty;
~Purchased 400 Bomb Pops for Elementary track day;
~Three seniors received $500 PTO scholarships;
~Purchased tickets to the circus for the 3rd grade;
~Hosted an ice cream social for the 158 students who joined the library’s Birthday Book Club;
~Paid for the 2nd graders admission to the pumpkin patch;
~Purchased Weekly Readers for the entire elementary.
In addition to the monetary contributions the PTO makes to the school, we volunteered our time and:
~Planned and held classroom parties;
~Worked at the school library book fairs;
~“Appreciated” the staff and faculty with snacks and goodies every month;
~Ten officers and several PTO members spent countless hours planning, organizing and executing fundraisers and “Fun Night.”
Adrian PTO considers our 2008-2009 school year a great success. We could not have done it without the continued support and generosity of the Adrian community. We want to thank everyone for their contributions, big and small. Please remember that the benefactors of our combined efforts are the children of our community. Have a great summer!
