MAP testing begins next week in Adrian

Adrian R-III School District will be administering the MAP (Missouri Assessment Program) tests for Grades 3, 4, 5, 6 7, and 8 beginning on Tuesday, April 6. We will also be testing every day in April. The MAP test will be concluded on April 23, 2010.

The MAP tests are extremely important to our students and our school. The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education partially assesses Adrian School based on how well our students do on these tests. Curriculum and classroom activities are based on the results of the MAP test and the school administration makes long-term plans based on testing trends.

Parents are asked to encourage their children to give their best effort on the MAP exam. There will be incentives and rewards for both attendance and effort. Please see that your child gets a good night’s rest before each day of testing and eats a good breakfast.
