Blackhawks take 1st in WEMO Math Challenge

On March 25, 2009, Adrian High School hosted the first ever WEMO Math Challenge. Students from Adrian, Archie, Appleton City, Drexel, Cass-Midway, Rich Hill and Osceola competed in grade level tests and teams tests in Alegbra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Probability and Statistics.
The test-based challenge teams were given points for first-fifth places. First and second place was recognized at an awards ceremony that evening.
Team Results were:
1st Place - Adrian with 42 points.
2nd Place - Cass-Midway with 41 points.
3rd Place - Drexel with 36 points.
Individual Results from Adrian were:
1st Place Algebra - Matt Ortiz, 11th Grade.
1st Place Team Test - Kyle Knuth and Chris Wainwright.
1st Place Probability Team - Ethan Cumpton and Chris Wainwright.
1st Place Math Challenge Team - Kyle Knuth and Henry Wendelton.
2nd Place Algebra - Colt Cumpton, 9th Grade.
2nd Place Geometry - Chris Wainwright, 12th Grade.
