AHS grads awarded scholarships for outstanding achievements

Far right: This year’s recipient of the Betty Rugg Memorial Scholarship is Austin Schmidt. This award was presented at Austin’s graduation reception on May 23. Austin will be attending Fort Scott Community College in the fall where he will major in Farm/Ranch Management. Austin’s award was presented by Tracy Rugg. The Rugg family wishes Austin the best and “Go get ‘em, buddy!”

Right: University of Missouri alumnus Kelsi Burhart (right) presented graduating senior Tyler Ricketts (left) with a $1,000, renewable Bates County Mizzou Club Scholarship. The Mizzou Club in Bates County is strong and active, and they are committed to supporting seniors like Tyler who will be attending their alma mater.
