Adrian students compete in math contest at Sherwood

Adrian 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th graders competed at a math competition on Thursday, March 10 at Sherwood High School. The 5th, 6th and 7th grade Adrian teams finished first overall and the 8th grade team finished second overall. Various individual and partner awards were presented to the Blackhawks.

“I’m very proud of our students. They performed well and made Adrian proud. Individually they did well, but to also win as a team, I couldn’t be happier for the kids. A super job from some super 5th grade kids,” said 5th grade teacher Matt Cochran. “The 6th grade did a great job today. Last year they took 2nd as a team, and this year they took first. I was very impressed with their efforts and desire. They worked hard. I’m very proud of them," he added.
