Adrian Optimists present dictionaries to 6th graders

By BRANDON BUNCH
The Adrian Optimist Club presented dictionaries to the Adrian (right) and Ballard (far right) sixth grade students on September 7th and 12th. The dictionary program is one of many programs that the Adrian Optimist Club provides to youth in the community each year.
Since 1999, the dictionaries are dedicated in Memory of Floyd Buhr. A sticker with a picture of Floyd Buhr is placed in the front of each dictionary. Floyd was a member of the Adrian Optimist Club. Floyd and his wife Joanne Buhr have been long time residents and youth supporters in Adrian. Joanne Buhr attended the presentation this year at the Adrian School and shared her story as to why this program was so special to Floyd.
