Adrian FFA participates in practice contest

Adrian High School FFA members who are participating in the chapter’s contest teams attended a practice contest last Thursday, March 19th at Archie. Four teams went including judging teams for dairy cattle, livestock, and meats as well as agriculture mechanics. Roughly 30 other chapters attended the event. Contests such as these give agriculture students a chance to practice their specific event and gain an idea of the material they will be tested on at the district contest near the end of March. Individuals and teams as a whole are also scored and ranked based on how well they do at contest. Adrian’s dairy cattle judging team and meat judging team placed in the top 20 at Archie while the livestock team and agriculture mechanics team placed 7th overall.
Another practice contest has been scheduled on March 25th in Neosho where they will hopefully rank well also. Keep up the good work, and good luck Adrian FFA.
